What We Built and Why
NERIS became mandatory January 1, 2026. The transition from NFIRS to NERIS requires officers to learn new field definitions, new code sets, and new module requirements — while continuing to run calls. For many departments, especially volunteer and combination departments with limited administrative staff, this documentation burden is a significant operational problem.
Station Draft converts a short officer narrative into a NERIS-aware incident draft with confidence flags for each field. The officer reviews the draft, corrects any flagged fields, and transfers it to their RMS. Human review is required before any submission. Station Draft never submits to NERIS automatically.
What We Are Not
- Not affiliated with USFA, FSRI, UL, or any government agency
- Not an RMS — we do not replace ESO, ImageTrend, or any other records management system
- Not an auto-submit tool — human officer review is required before any submission
- Not a compliance guarantee — Station Draft reduces the burden but cannot guarantee your records meet all requirements
- Not affiliated with any state fire marshal office
Current Status
Station Draft is in a limited pilot program. Pilot access is free. We are working with fire and EMS departments to measure actual report completion time reduction and gather feedback on coverage priorities. Paid plans will be available at general launch.
